Electrical Design Engineer required for leading OEM manufacturing company who specialise worldwide In the design and build bespoke heavy vehicle products.
The Electrical Design Engineer reporting into the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Mechanical Design team will have Degree in Electrical Engineering and be proficient in ecad / eplan.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  
  
  
  • Collaborate with customers and sales to conceptualise and design advanced electrical systems for used in the UK and internationally.
  
  
  • Execute designs using ECAD systems, generating complete and standardised system schematics.
  
  
  • Create 3D model designs and associated formboards before assembly.
  
  
  • Develop and build prototypes to test their functionality.
  
  
  • Conduct user research to understand customer needs, stay informed about market trends, and generate improvement ideas.
  
  
  
  

• Documentation and Quality Assurance:
  
  
  
  • Prepare all necessary production schematics, formboards, fuse decals, and build information, ensuring adherence to company schedules and meeting performance and quality requirements.
  
  
  • Guarantee cost-effectiveness by optimising the use of labour and materials.
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific and statutory regulations.
  
  
  • Provide, issue, and control design documentation for internal departments and subcontractors.
