Electrical Design Engineer

We build Recruitment are on the lookout for an Electrical Design Engineer based in the North West that preferably comes from a commercial background and also has an understanding of costings/estimation.

Job Role:

• Projects will generally consist of large commercial units with examples being retail headquarters and universities or frequently Data Centres too.
• The office is based in Manchester and it’s expected that you’d be able to commute in.
• Responsibilities will naturally vary per project however the two key elements to this role are the designing of engineering works to be carried out. Whilst also being able to understand the costings and be able to provide them with reasoning when submitting work.
• Checking in with the procurement team to ensure that all required materials are ordered but also that it’s in alignment with your costings.
• The ability to travel to site when necessary to get a full scope of the works and ensure plans are being kept to, to the best of your ability.
• You must also be comfortable working with a variety of different stakeholders as you’ll be working cross departmentally frequently

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field is ideal alongside a HNC/HND or Bsc and higher
• Previous experience in using AutoCAD/REVIT to be able to create intricate and detailed designs
• Experience with Amtech is desirable but not essential
• Competent in the use of the Microsoft Suite

For the right Electrical Design Engineer there’s a package available of £71,000 which includes a car allowance alongside your annual salary.
