Job description

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will need to be able to function in several different roles, from concept development and detailed Electrical Design to system commissioning; as well as project co-ordination and leadership, an ability and willingness to support the workshop team during building of electrical systems when required, as well as an ability to train and mentor less experienced engineers, would also be an asset.

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

* Experienced in electrical hardware design and project management, involving development of electrical power circuits as well as control and instrumentation systems design.
* Experienced in use of Autocad, Eplan or similar design tools.
* Experienced in commissioning and fault finding.
* Familiarity with machinery safety issues such as, SIL & Design Risk assessments
* Attitude and ability are as important as experience, a quick learner with a good base from the above experiences will be of interest.
* Although the role will primarily be office / workshop based it will also involve travel for surveys, fault finding & commissioning etc. as and when required.

Desirable:

* Time Served background with good hands-on Skills & Experience
* Experience of developing PLC, HMI and SCADA software will be an advantage
* Experience of ATEX regulations will also be advantageous
