Your new role
The newly appointed Electronics/ Electrical Engineer, will design innovative power and control electronics, primarily for lighting and wireless applications, driving and implementing the latest advancements, to ensure new technologies are available to their customer base.
Typical Duties
- Design, from first principals, electronic systems to a given specification.
- Carry out detailed testing of electronic equipment.
- Generate technical documentation to substantiate the design.
- Generate schematics and design PCB layouts
- Creating Bill Of Materials (BOMs)
- Liaising with production to ensure manufacturing requirements are factored into all designs.
- Investigate the latest technologies and ensure these techniques are being employed within the design process.
- Support on technical matters
- Support the sales team technically, through documentation, explanations, and customer visits.
- Liaise with other disciplines, both internal and external, to ensure an effective completion of the design process.
- The correct right to work via citizenship, BR or ILR is essential, no sponsorship is available.
What you'll need to succeed
- HNC, HND, Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of electronic hardware design
- Proven experience in schematic & PCB design
Desirable Skills
- Previous use of Altium or PADs
- Previous use/knowledge of Epicor
- Previous use of Draft sight or AutoCad 2D
- Familiarity with LED driver hardware design
- Any embedded software experience
