Are you an experienced Electrical Designer looking to take a step up into a management position? Do you want to join a company that are currently experiencing significant growth and forecasting exciting plans for the near future? This Renewables firm are a recognised player across the UK within the Solar PV sector and currently expanding their teams across departments within the business, with a strong focus on their electrical team. They hold 10+ year's experience within their field, primarily focusing on Solar PV projects, ranging from domestic to 50MW to larger scale solar farms. Due to rapid expansion they're now seeking a driven individual, who holds strong electrical knowledge and motivated by further training and development opportunities and looking to take the next step within their career by managing and growing a team of successful designers.
In this role the Manager will be responsible for running a team of currently 4 Electrical Designers, who range from Graduates to experienced designers, with the demand to develop and expand this team throughout 2024. You will also be expected to review and sign off design work, while ensuring relevant information is passed across multiple departments within the business.
The ideal candidate must hold strong electrical knowledge and experience within a commercial setting and express how keen they are to take the next step within their career into a management role.
The Role:
* Manage a team of 4 Electrical Designers
* Excellent opportunity to receive Full Training into Management
* Review and sign off design work for domestic, commercial and utility scale solutions
* Assisting with the staff development within the technical team
* Assisting the growth of a rapidly expanding business, which will naturally result in further training and progression opportunities
* Office based - Monday - Friday
The Person:
* Holds previous experience in Electrical Design
* Ideally holds experience working on Solar PV projects (not essential)
* Experience in EPC Tenders and Liaison
* Hold and express strong skills to successfully manage a team
* Hold an Engineering related degree
