On behalf of our client, an award winning manufacturer, we are recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Technical Department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing new ideas from Concept through to production.
The Job Role;
- Designing products from concept through to production release to a given specification,agreedtimescalesandtocompanyQualityManagementSystem(QMS)
- Workwithinamulti-disciplineddevelopmentteamenvironmentanduseyourown initiative to achieve the project requirements
- Electricalschematiclayoutdesigns
- Generatedetailedtechnicaldocumentation(Drawings,BOMs,manuals, etc.)
- Generatecomprehensivecomponentspecificationsanddesigns
- Reduceproductcostsbyre-designingexisting products
- Assistproduction/serviceengineerswhenrequested
- Collaboratefullywithproductionengineeringonnewproduct launch.
- Designtestingcriteria
- ProduceECN’sfordesignupdatesorchanges
Educated to Minimum HNC qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline, and along with a strong design background, ideally you will have the following skills and experience;
- Provenpreviouselectricaldesignexperienceinamanufacturing environment
- Fullycompetenttoreadandinterpretelectricaldrawings/schematicsandproduceElectrical Design calculations
- Theabilityandwillingnesstowork 'handson’toassist faultfindingonelectrical systems
- WorkingindustryknowledgeofElectricalDesignSoftware withtheabilitytocreate/edit electrical schematics and produce BOMs
- Understanding&knowledgeofPLCsystems
- Excellentcommunicationandproblem-solvingskillswhileworkingwithother departments
- Ahighlymotivatedindividualwith excellent communication skills, andtheabilitytowork aloneand aspartofateam
