Job description

    Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer


    Industry: Marine


    Our client, a leading organisation in the marine industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. If you have a passion for electrical engineering and would thrive in a marine environment, then this opportunity is perfect for you!


    Responsibilities:



    • Design and develop marine electrical systems in accordance with naval electrical standards and classification societies.

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

    • Manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and equipment, while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

    • Lead a small team of engineers to ensure successful project completion.

    • Utilise 2D AutoCAD and Foran software for control panel design and specification.

    • Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and maintain accurate product data management.

    • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the electrical engineering field.


    Skills Required:



    • Essential HNC in Electrical Engineering, equivalent trade qualification, or vocational experience will be considered.

    • Proven design experience with marine electrical systems.

    • Familiarity with naval electrical standards and classification societies.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with clients and provide excellent customer service.

    • Experience in managing suppliers and maintaining strong relationships.

    • Proficient in PLC control, with software design and specification experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Foran software is desirable.

    • Previous experience in leading a small team is advantageous.

    • Strong ability to create accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and efficiently manage product data.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
