Electrical & Mechanical Bias Technician / Based in Eye, Suffolk / £38,000 to £42,313 Depending On Experience / Monday to Friday
The successful candidate must be experienced in Electrical Controls & Instrumentation, BUT my client will consider someone without this. You will also need to be mechanically biased as well.
You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the focus of the Technician will be to undertake routine and defect maintenance work to ensure the reliability, availability and output of the plant and equipment are achieved.

Hours
Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm
This position has an On-Call requirement. You will be included in a four-week rotation call out rota to be first line cover for any breakdown on site, day or night, for a seven-day period, which will be paid .
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure that safe working practices and procedures are adhered to;
- Execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities;
- Investigate plant problems and identify solutions;
- Maintain work and activity records;
- Supervise contracted personnel as directed by your line manager;
- Communicate and encourage good working relationships within the team;
- Have the full understanding of cost implications and power generation with you areas of work;
- Adhere to the SHE Management System at all times.
The successful candidate:
- A high level of technical plant awareness
- Excellent problem solving skills, together with experience of safe systems of work.
- Ideally you will have a 'time served’ apprenticeship, with a minimum of 5 years power generation/utility experience and ONC or equivalent qualification.
- You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, IT skills which includes Microsoft products and Maintenance Management System software.
