ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, Derbyshire - 50,000 - 60,000 PA DOE
Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their established engineering Team within their Rail and Transport Team.

The successful candidate for this Electrical Engineer role is required to take technical responsibility for the day- to-day delivery of electrical design tasks, consisting of, but not limited to drawings, parts specifications, risk assessments, installation procedures and calculations. Other tasks as an Electrical Engineer include; client design reviews, internal design reviews and standards compliance reviews. Checking other engineers' drawings and documents and ensuring they are compliant.
This successful applicant to undertake vehicle surveys as well as on-site installation support. Therefore, travel is an essential part of the role, and this can be anywhere within the UK and potentially further afield.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A UK accredited degree in Electronic and Electrical engineering
- (or similar) and in possession of/or working towards chartership status with a recognised industry body
- Experience of schematic and wiring diagram drawing production, ideally in Siemens Solid Edge software
- A proven track record of leading small teams in the production of on train electrical design solutions from concept to installation
- Practical experience in field installation and fault finding
Job skills required:
- IT literate with sound knowledge of Windows (10 or 11) and CAD systems ideally Siemens Solid Edge
- Ability to lead teams and supervise fitments
- Capacity to communicate effectively and constructively on all levels as part of a team or as an individual, when representing the company
