Our global motorcycle manufacturing client is urgently looking to fill the following role:
Electrical Engineer Lead Motorcycles - Up to £45k p.a. + Benefits - Leicestershire
Job Requirement:
The Electrical Engineer supports the UK Electrical Engineering team with specific projects, helping to shape the future of the client's product portfolio. A key part of the role is to support the EE components development and testing activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent the electrical design team and PD departmental meetings
- Deliver technical and testing support for electrical components on multiple motorcycle development programmes
- Understand and preparation of EE system layout & schematic circuits
- Design and implement electrical systems/ components for new and updated motorcycles
- Preparation of 2D engineering drawings for electrical components
- Understand and preparation of 3D CAD models to derive packaging for electrical components
- Follow up and maintain design, operational and quality procedures
- Produce supporting documentation and packaging layouts for electrical systems as required. example: Circuit diagrams for service manuals, TDL's
- Liaise with internal departments such as Vehicle development, Testing, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality.
- Liaise with outside suppliers
Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engg. with 2 years' minimum experience in relevant Electrical/Electronics field.
- Strong knowledge in fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics
- Knowledge in electrical testing - Experience in Electrical components validation
- Experience in Failure simulation and root cause analysis
- Knowledge in DVP preparation
- Experience in electrical test rigs and instrumentation
- Two wheeler electrical testing experience - Preferable
- Good communication skills
