Form of workJEB Contractors Ltd is a mechanical and Electrical Engineering and contracting company based in Sunderland. We have been in existence for over 30 years and, despite the current climate, demand for our services is still growing.
The successful applicant will work within our busy engineering office. They will be expected to take client inquiries from concept through to full electrical design as well as being involved with the overseeing of panel build, installation and commissioning.
Every project is bespoke and the work is varied. The majority of our work is based around the automotive industry with projects ranging from fully automated machines and cells, process plant, material handling systems down to small enhancements to existing plant. A knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will report to the engineering director and would be expected to deal directly with clients and suppliers.
At least HNC level Electrical Engineering qualifications and some experience is preferred although graduate level engineers with less experience would also be considered. Knowledge and experience of the following areas will be advantageous, control panel design using Eplan, hardwired and programmable safety circuit design, Safety PLC and PLC programming, HMI & SCADA development, Industrial networks.
The work is primarily office based although site work is involved during the commissioning phase of projects. Weekend working and occasional working away from home will be required in order to carry out some commissioning operations.
