Electrical Engineer

If you're an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to stop night shifts and work days only, or come off the road and be single site based, this could be for you! You'll carry out PPM and scheduled maintenance in our critical production environment, covering all plant, machinery, capital equipment and PLC's.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £41,000

LOCATION: Based between Ely and Newmarket you could commute from: Ely, March, Downham Market, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Cambridge, Haverhill, St Ives.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food
 
Our engineering team play a hugely critical role in keep our production lines running, so as our Electrical Engineer your skills are vital. You'll provide responsive intervention for electrical (and some mechanical) issues, making sure we have seamless site operations. You'll also give guidance and support to fellow Maintenance Engineers in your team.
 
It's a varied role and will include:
· Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), scheduled service and overhaul of all plant, machinery and capital equipment.
· Fault finding and fixing on PLC's - we use Omron, but any PLC experience is fine.
· Actively take part in process development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
· Maintenance of spares and consumables, ensuring expenditure is controlled.
 
You will also work closely with the Head of Engineering to deliver special engineering projects.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food
 
As our Electrical Engineer, you MUST have either a City & Guild 2323 or 17th Edition, as well as experience in fault finding on PLC's and electrical controls.
 
In addition, you will need to:
 
· Be able to work as part of an engineering team, be happy to get stuck into whatever challenge presents itself.
· Have experience of working within an FMCG or food production environment.
· Possess the adaptability and reliability to handle various responsibilities, from managing documentation and specifications to providing team cover during absences.
