Howdens is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This role will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, services, utilities, and improvement projects and provide support to reactive breakdown maintenance as required.
The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. Additionally, a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.
Pay rate: £43,807.40 per annum + shift allowance + monthly production bonus
Shift pattern:
- Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6am-6pm
- Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - 6am-6pm, Wednesday, Thursday - 6pm-6am
- Week 3 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 6pm-6am
- 7 days off

Key skills and experience required for the Electrical Engineer:
- Experience in using CNC machinery
- Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, Beckhoff PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and Mitsubishi PLC would be desirable
- Fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
- NVQ Level 3 essential
