Electrical Engineering Leader

To provide technical authority & technical support to ensure the Site complies with all relevant GSK & national standards.

In this role you will:

  • Provides Technical oversight & Technical Authority for approval of all Electrical installations and modifications including Capital project activity.
  • Create and implement Electrical strategy for the site through the Interpretation and application of GSK Engineering standards & all relevant UK standards.
  • Train, develop and mentor Electrical team members to ensure that their skills and knowledge are developed to support all customer requirements for projects, continuous improvements and breakdowns.
  • Develop the site Electrical maintenance strategy to ensure adherence to GSK Engineering standards & all relevant UK standards.
  • Liaise with Engineering Shared Service to ensure compliance is met on site and facilitate any L3/L4 regulatory inspections.
  • Supervise LV & HV maintenance activities associated with 3rd party suppliers to ensure safe working practices are adhered to in accordance with GSK Engineering standards & all relevant UK standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical engineering, or closely related subject.
  • Senior Authorised Person.
  • Extensive experience in the chemical industry in a Senior Engineer role.
  • Extensive previous leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Green Belt OR Orange belt training
  • Fully familiar with cGMP, FDA, MHRA requirements.
  • Fully familiar with corporate Engineering policies and guidelines.
