Electrical Estimator

Due to continued growth and success, C P Hood Electrical Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Estimatorto join their ever expanding team.

Work sectors include:-

Industrial, commercial, residential, healthcare, education and design & build schemes.

Currently, we are tendering for electrical works ranging from £5k up to £1.5milliion using bespoke software – training will be provided.

Typical Duties to include:

• Review and understanding of client drawings and specifications
• Breakdown client enquiries, organise or complete the required surveys and prepare detailed Electrical estimates, tenders and quotations to ensure that opportunities are being accurately estimated competitively, successfully and profitably
• Attending Pre tender meetings to talk through estimate and cost breakdown
• Use of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to undertaking draft Electrical Design from pre-tender design & build information
• Submission of electrical quotations & tenders
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must have good communication skills

Experience:

• The role requires a solid understanding of Electrical estimating and previous experience in the construction industry, ideally as an estimator in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the internal and external client
