Electrical Estimator

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join an engineering company based in Sheffield
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of each project. You will analyse blueprints, calculate material requirements and costs, and evaluate labour expenses. Your work will ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will be responsible for submitting competitive project bids.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Estimator will include:

• Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
• Determining the amount of labour required to complete each project.
• Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
• Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
• Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labour costs.
• Evaluating labour and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components.

We are looking for experienced Electrical estimators with the below skills and experience:

• Electrical Engineering experience including knowledge of electrical design.
• Experience of creating estimates for electrical works
• ONC/HNC Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Proven electrical estimating/bid presentation experience.
• Demonstrated success in winning electrical projects in line with business guidelines.
• Good understanding of technical issues related to electrical designs and estimates.
• Ability to read and clearly understand drawings and specifications.
• The ability to interpret blueprints.
