Job Description
Procter & Gamble (P&G) is one of the world’s leading companies in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), making globally admired brands such as Gillette, Pampers, Fairy and Oral-B. We are looking for an experienced electrical project and Maintenance Engineer to join our Manchester Pampers Plant in Trafford Park, reporting directly to the site facility leader.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the facility team in the planned maintenance execution, defect-fixing, recording and execution of improvements of issues of an electrical nature.
Executing site facility Electrical Maintenance as part of facility compliance programme, including annual shut down.
Planning electrical work, liaising with suppliers, and sourcing parts for daily work.
Working with onsite partners (Operations Team, Safety, Quality) to ensure the requirements are compliant with the business needs.
Managing electrical aspects of construction projects including writing work permits and supervision in terms of safety and quality of execution.
Participating in scope development, design reviews and costings for small capital projects while supporting the overall project team with larger capital initiatives.
Please note this is a day-based, rather than a shift-based role, you'll generally work 40 hours per week 7:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday, however there will be occasions when working outside of these hours will be required.

Job Qualifications
Time served Electrical apprenticeship with NVQ L3 or HNC and knowledge of Power, Control & Information Systems
Competency in WAH and sub-contractor management
Competent Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
Technical mastery and good attention to detail
Ability to work under own initiative
IOSH and relevant Permit training will be supplied in role
The following qualifications would be advantageous but non-essential:
City & Guilds 2377-22 & 2377-32 PAT Testing course
City & Guilds 2394/ 2395 Inspection & Testing Course
Authorised Person High Voltage - Operation and Safety (APHV1) in Mechanical & Electrical Safe Systems of Work
