Job description
We are supporting a long established, specialist manufacturer in their search for an additional Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. Joining a small team working a double day shift pattern, Monday to Friday, the Maintenance Engineer will be primarily focussed on PPM to ensure service levels are met by the production team.

Core duties include:
Effective planned maintenance inspections using our custom maintenance software
Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules
Carry out safety checks on equipment in line with legislation and best practice
Overhaul and repair of plant; continually monitor plant conditions and report defect’s breakdown/fault data
Carry out Electrical and Electronic repairs using a multi-meter to test electrical components and diagnose faults
Hydraulics/Pneumatics repairs, using schematic diagrams to identify faults
Repairing and replacing valves, seals, motors, and pumps
Installation of new machinery and the movement of machinery within the factory
Work with the production team to minimise machinery downtimeKey Experience:
Apprentice trained or time served with qualifications in both electrical and mechanical engineering
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Willingness to adapt and work outside of your core skill set when required2024 will see many new machines coming into the factory as the business upgrades its assets.
