We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Maintenace Technician to join our team in Belfast, supporting our customers in Northern Ireland. As part of the installation team, you will inspect and maintain traffic signals, ancillary equipment and/or highways systems in a highly varied role with lots of opportunities to learn. Traffic industry experience isn’t essential if you enjoy working on site, being part of a team, problem solving and learning on the job; we'd like to hear from you!
What will you do?
- You’ll support the maintenance of traffic signals, including controllers, pedestrian crossings and ancillary equipment
- Work on various sites each day and be able to manage your work and troubleshoot when needed
- Problem solve, complete electrical tests and maintenance checks
- Communicate with and updates to customers and other contractors on site
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with the site specification, to a high standard and on time
- Successful completion of mandatory product and industry accreditation training
- Out of hours working to support service and contract requirements
- In accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and Zero Harm culture, be alert in identifying potential hazards by removing or minimising them wherever possible.
Who are you?
- Ideally you have an electrical qualification and/or some electrical experience
- You’re co-operative, willing to use your initiative and enjoys troubleshooting
- You’re willing to move from one activity or work area to another and enjoy learning new things
- You are accurate, reliable and able to get things right first time
- You work well with others to support meeting shared goals
- You can communicate well and contribute to good team morale
- You’re confident working with IT equipment include a tablet and laptop and can learn new software
- Must hold full UK Driving License and we provide a company van and tools for the job
- You enjoyworking outside and at heights
