Electrical Maintenance Technician

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their site in Chesterfield.

• Shift- Monday to Thursday 6am till 4pm – very occasional overtime needed on Friday and Saturday
• Salary- £35-40k dependant on candidate
• Benefits- 7% combined pension, bonus scheme, overtime available, perk box, holidays

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this Electrical Maintenance Technician role will provide maintenance support for all areas of the plant and is responsible for establishing and executing the Preventative Planned Maintenance and emergency repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician:

• Schedule the daily, weekly, monthly repair, maintenance and installation of all plant and equipment
• Ensure that equipment and plant conform to PUWER regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Conduct safety compliance inspections (including Permits to Work) and maintain records of the production equipment.
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programmes (TPM) to ensure that all machinery remains in good operating condition
• Review daily plant downtime with the Team leader as a tool for concentrating efforts
• Performs and instructs personnel in equipment start-up procedures, TPM schedule and machine operation
• In conjunction with the Operations team drive the continuous improvement effort to support both cost and waste reduction.
• To identify and propose technology improvements including relevant CAPEX requirements
• Purchase components/spares used in the repair or preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities
• To propose any ideas, concepts or equipment that might improve the efficiency/effectiveness of any plant or part of the facility

We would like to speak with Electrical Maintenance Technicians with the following:

• Electrically qualified with either NVQ Level 3 or Electrical installation qualification
• Engineering background
• Knowledge of engineering production methods
• IEE 18th Edition
• Ideally have PAT Testing
• Ideally have CNC experience
• Machine installation experience
