Electrical Mechanical Technician

Proactive are currently in search of multiple skilled Electrical Mechanical Technician/Electrical Technician to start work immediately for a client of ours in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity working for a world leading manufacturing company, offing ample opportunity for career progression and development.

Position: Electrical Mechanical Technician

Salary: 35,000 - 40,000

Location: Cambridge

Shifts: Mon-Fri; 8AM-4PM

The main focus of this role will be to ensure all products are built to the required safety and quality standards, performing electrical testing and commissioning the product using safe systems of work and completing the sign off process in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.

Principal Responsibilities

• To undertake electrical commissioning of our products to the required processes, safety and quality standards
• To undertake testing, adjustments and completing the signing off processes.
• Providing support to the Electro-Mechanical Technician colleagues in the product build process if needed
• To test and maintain products on behalf of R&D from time to time proving feedback to help develop and improve new and existing product range.
• To install products on customer sites with Installation Teams from time to time, providing technical assistance to Customer Support Department (occasional overseas travel).
• To help with the training of less experienced colleagues in electrical commissioning techniques to required safety and quality standards.
• To become familiar with, uphold and adhere to company processes, policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Experience

• HNC minimum and ideally HND in Electrical Engineering plus the required technical knowledge and practical experience to support the qualification.
• You should have a proven track record of working with various PLC systems.
• Should possess a wide base of engineering skills including electrical, electronic and mechanical
• Qualified in low voltage applications including fault finding - Desirable
• Testing of PCB's - Desirable.
