Electrical Qualified Supervisor

Covering Midlands/East Anglia Regions - travel required

Crystal Electronics have an opportunity for a Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join and supervise our national engineering team.

Within this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the remote electrical team members, supporting the team by providing advice and guidance to our engineers, drive continuous improvement, helping to resolve any ongoing technical problems that arise and ensure engineers are working to the highest health and safety standards.

You will be an effective leader, who is able to challenge performance, drive continuous improvement, and support a culture which is health and safety, environmental, equality and people focused.

Salary & Benefits

  • Starting Salary £50,000 per annum dependant on experience.

  • 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 per week, Saturdays required & rewarded with a lieu day of your choice. Working hours to be discussed.

The Role

  • Overseeing and supporting directly employed and sub-contractor electricians.
  • Supporting with technical advice for the team electrical team.
  • Take ownership of electrical issues working promptly to rectify them.
  • Ensure safety standards are understood, implemented and maintained by all team members.
  • Inspecting and testing completed works and supporting on fault finding and problem solving.
  • Installation of emergency lighting, EV charging point installs and storage heater upgrade programmes.
  • Be an effective leader who can challenge performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Travel within the engineering area will be required to support the team.
  • Attending weekly meetings at the earls Barton Head office will be required.
  • Delivering work packages top a high standard in commercial and domestic settings.
  • Complete work to the industry standard.
  • Lead by example - solutions led, flexible, adaptable to our customers needs.
  • Reporting and recording all health and safety issues.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Team management experience especially with remote teams.
  • Periodic inspection and testing certification.
  • NICEIC registered.
  • ECS gold card.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Electrician.
  • Experience working on residential projects.
  • Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site Health and Safety.
  • IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Up to date First Aid qualification.
  • Essential knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experience of supervising staff and 3rd parties is essential.

Preferred Qualifications required.

  • City & Guilds 4141-01 - Electrical Installation Work within a Domestic Dwelling
  • Level 2 or Level 3 C & G Electrical Installation
  • City & Guilds 2393 - Part P Building Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2392-10 - Inspection & Testing Course
  • City & Guilds 2382-15 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • AM2
