Electrical Installation Technician / Operative

We're excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for an Electrical Installation Technician/Operative to join our team covering the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and parts of essex region. As a member of our installation team, you'll engage in a diverse role that involves installing and inspecting traffic signals, ancillary equipment, and highway systems.

Who are you?

  • Ideally, you possess an electrical qualification and/or have some prior electrical experience.
  • You're a cooperative team player who thrives on initiative and enjoys troubleshooting.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn, you're comfortable moving between various activities and work areas.
  • You take pride in precision, reliability, and getting things right the first time.
  • You excel in collaborative environments, working with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Effective communication is one of your strengths, contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • You're proficient with IT equipment, including tablets and laptops, and are open to learning new software.
  • A full UK Driving License is a must, and we provide a company van and tools for the job.
  • You relish working outdoors and at elevated heights.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Installing of traffic signals, including wiring controllers, pedestrian crossings, and ancillary equipment.
  • Navigate different sites daily, taking charge of your tasks and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Conduct electrical tests and pre-commissioning checks.
  • Maintain open communication with customers and fellow contractors on site.
  • Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with site specifications, adhering to high-quality standards and deadlines.
  • Successfully complete mandatory product and industry accreditation training.
  • Provide off-hours support as needed to meet service and contract requirements.
  • Embrace a culture of safety, identifying and mitigating potential hazards in line with our Health and Safety Policy and Zero Harm ethos.
