About the role:

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a top family-owned business in Leeds, specialising in advanced electrical power distribution equipment and pioneering transformer technology. Their solutions save costs, energy, and cut carbon, providing innovative ways to reduce energy waste.

The strategically important Electrical Site Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the fitting, testing and installation of power transformers whilst travelling to third party sites within the UK.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Production Manager you will:

� Travel to third party sites in the UK to install and test the equipment.

� Carry out In-house fitting and assembly of various types of power transformers.

� You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

� Ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard.

� You will use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role.

� Identify and work with others to resolve inadequate or unclear manufacturing/engineering information.

Professional qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

� Experience and competence of working on site fitting Power Transformers, wiring and test at site is essential.

� Full UK driving licence is essential.

� ECS accreditation is essential.

� Apprentice trained or a Mechanical/Electrical qualification.

� Experience of Health & Safety and conducting risk assessments.

� Ideally have up to date training on Overhead Crane/Slinging Lifting certification.

� Ideally IPAF certification.

Personal skills:

The Site Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who has:

� Experience working within a field-based engineering role.

� The drive for progression.

� Basic salary up to �39,520
