Are you a dynamic Electrical Systems Engineer looking to work within a leading engineering company that builds special-purpose vehicles? If so then I have the perfect role for you.
Looking for an experienced Electrical Systems engineer eager to join a business that offers exciting projects, fantastic learning and development, and a fantastic career journey. This will include new product development and working with a dynamic team to generate or modify electrical harnesses for prototypes or specific orders.
Electrical Systems Engineer main responsibilities:
- Produce/define 2D CAD drawings of wiring harnesses to the relevant ISO standards
- Liaise and build relationships with chassis manufacturers to integrate products via CANBUS control
- Design effective solutions enabling the application of our product range within the ever-changing commercial vehicle market
- Produce 3D CAD schemes and from those, produce 2D CAD drawings to relevant standards
- Liaise with production to achieve completion of production and prototype motions
- Engage in the prototyping of new components, their evaluation and testing
- Willing to travel within UK and overseas to facilitate application projects on occasion
Requirements for the successful Electrical Systems Engineer:
- Experience and knowledge of automotive electrics, electronics and CANBUS
- Hands on experience and ability to create or manually modify electrical harnesses to automotive standards
- Experience and knowledge of 2D Electrical CAD Software (E3, SolidWorks etc)
