Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client within manufacturing for an Electrically biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis, based in Middlesbrough.

Overview of the role

 • Carry out breakdown of repairs to production equipment, plant, and services as requested.

• Carrying out TPMs and ensuring documentation is completed.

• Keep daily records of all work completed and all work pending.

 • Monitor stores stock and usage.

• Always apply best practice operation maintaining high levels of health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

• Progress and complete project work on site

What we are looking for

• Have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Understand and be able to read mechanical/electrical schematic drawings.

• Be experienced in the use of PPM systems.

• Work on their own initiative.

• Work towards improved efficiency in the maintenance department.

• Be an effective team player and possess excellent communication skills.

• Must be willing to be flexible for the company and work occasional overtime shifts

Advantageous

• Proven electrical skills with knowledge in the plastics / injection moulding industry preferred

• Hold a 18th Edition Certificate is preferred but will accept 17th.

• PAT testing desirable

Salary and shift information

 • £35,000 per annum (+ performance bonus)

 • To work a 2-shift, 12 hours rotating pattern consisting of days and nights, with potential 4 shift pattern within the next year
