A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an electrical biased engineer to join an excellent food manufacturer in the Stockport Area. This role allows for training and development with great security and stability. Our client is a leaading well established company and are looking for the right person to make an impact and contribute to the success of the company.
Role Description
- You will be carrying work across fully automated production line / process - each plant has a PPM shutdown day every week
- Working on mixers, large gas burner ovens, proovers, conveyors, spiral coolers, stackers, elevators, baggers, sleevers, metal detectors, SCADA Systems, checkweighers, labellers, Fanuc Robots and palletisers.
- Control panels - electrical fault finding - relays, contactors, sensors, switches
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs, PPM's, CI project work
- PLC - electrical fault finding (can remotely tap into all PLC's from the engineering office) - Mitsubishi & some Allen Bradley
- Dealing with motors, inverters, sensors, bearings, pneumatics, inverters, gearboxes, bearings, shafts
Skills and qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance engineering
- Must be an Electrically Biased engineer - completed a time-served-apprenticeship
- NVQ / C&G Level 3 qualified
- Must have worked in some form of manufacturing "fast-paced environment" - FMCG, packaging, plastics, automotive
- Must have done 17th or 18th Editions
- Strong electrical fault finding & diagnostics experience
