gap technical are proud to be representing an Industry Leading manufacturing business in their search for an Electrician to work at their facility based near Burnley.
Performance Objectives

• Taking electrical systems out of service for maintenance, repair or commissioning and reinstating once work is completed
• Identifying point of isolation on electrical circuits
• Performing electrical isolations in accordance with Safe Isolations Procedure, applying isolation locks and issuing Electrical Isolation Certificates
• Sanctioning work on electrical systems
• Performing audits.
• Responsible for the build and maintenance of various electrical systems within the business.
• Involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover.
• Will work in a multi-disciplinary project team, including engineers from other specialist areas.
• Due to the nature of the business it is anticipated that travel within the UK and abroad may be required.
• Enhances engineering reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Person Specification

• C&G 2382/22 Level 3 in the requirements for electrical installations BS7671:2018 (essential)
• C&G 2391-52 Inspection and test (essential)
• Up to date BS7671
• Experience with industrial machines (3 phase, single phase and control voltage)
• Working knowledge of requirements of electricity of work regulations, safe working practices with electricity, safe isolations of electrical circuits including back-up power supplies and UPS, low voltage equipment, switch gear and protective devices
• Solid Engineering knowledge base
• Comply with all HSE Requirements
• Experience in maintenance software tools
• Able to read design specifications and technical drawings
• Experience with servicing and maintaining electrical equipment
• Passion for building world class equipment
