Electrician

Electrical Technicians with a vehicle background are required for some installation and maintenance roles in Milton Keynes, working on a wide range of railway vehicles, on a Monday to Friday shift pattern.

The Opportunity
With lots of hours available to the right individual if wanted, we are looking for self-motivated individuals who love working in an engineering environment, seeing passenger trains go from cradle-to-grave through the full overhaul and refurbishment project, your input will be crucial to the delivery of these programmes.

Location(s):
Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Role and Responsibilities

• Full strip-outs of outdated or faulty electrical systems
• Electrical fault-finding, testing and maintenance
• Using analogue diagnostics tools such as multi-meters and flukes to diagnose a variety of electrical faults
• Completing testing activities to check for continuity, insulation and other common faults

The Candidate

• Comfortable working on early and late shifts from Monday to Friday
• Able to commit to a minimum of 50 hours of work per week

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Background completing electrical installation or maintenance on vehicles
• Able to work in Milton Keynes on weekdays

Desirable

• Rolling Stock / Rail Industry experience
