Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation and functionality of plumbing systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete plumbing tasks
- Assemble fittings and valves for installation
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes as needed
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions
Skills:
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized plumbing equipment
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, etc.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in confined spaces
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Welding skills are a plus
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial
