Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Lead

We are supporting a local client who is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Lead to join the maintenance team.

This site-based role requires a self-motivated and resilient individual to take responsibility for the mechanical and electronic maintenance of equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Strong engineering and technical skills are required along with demonstrable analytical skills and the ability to problem solve. The ability to provide periodic and preventative maintenance of manufacturing and plant machines.

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Lead Duties & Requirements:

• Responsible for mechanical seal production test rigs and associated plant and equipment.
• Perform reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Assist with the validation of new and existing equipment.
• Generate maintenance work orders and performance reports.
• Generate and update training programmes/records for the maintenance team.
• Build, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex Electro-Mechanical assemblies using procedures, prints, written instructions, or verbal communication.
• Troubleshoot, repair and properly document machine issues.
• Troubleshoot / diagnose PLC/HMI control systems software when possible.
• Provide first line supervision to on-site contractors activities.
• Support other onsite maintenance work when required.

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Lead Background:

• Qualified to work on high-pressure air equipment and piping.
• Experienced in reading technical, P&ID drawings and fault diagnoses.
• Experience in supervising contractors and their activities on site. Ensure their appropriate documentation and permits are valid and correct.
• Must be able to sand electrical and mechanical components and be able to follow specific instructions on the treatment or preparation of materials for subassembly production.
• Proficient in maintenance software and MS Office.
• Familiar with operational / shop floor best practices and performance standards.
