Our client has a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of hardware for a variety of platforms and environments and are looking for an Electronic Assembly Technician to join their expanding and growing team.
Responsibilities
- Wiring and assembly of cable harnesses for test and finished product
- Assembly of electronic components to multilayer PCB assemblies
- Assisting with SMT processes
- Rework of electronic PCB assemblies and systems
- Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and final assembly
- Inspection of work completed at various stages of manufacture
- Follow assembly instructions and record operations completed
- Develop job skills as appropriate for the work required
- Inspection of procured electronic and mechanical components and parts
- Opportunity to grow into the role of test and fault investigation
- Other duties as deemed reasonable
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 1 A Level in Maths, Physics, IT or Design Technology (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C including Maths and English
- Familiar with IT and MS Office applications
- Knowledge and experience of IPC-A-610 preferred
- Excellent hand-soldering skills
- Previous SMT experience preferred but not essential
