Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Colwyn Bay (Wales)
Salary: £28,000 - £75,000 per annum

Seniority Level: Graduates, Junior/Mid-Level, Senior through to Principal Level are considered for this role.
Salaries on offer depending on skillset & experience:
- Graduate & Junior Electronics Design Engineer - £28,000-£40,000 per annum
- Electronics Design Engineer - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
- Senior Electronics Design Engineer - £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
- Principal/Lead Electronics Design Engineer - £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
The role:
The successful Electronics Design Engineer will have a hands on role where the work will be varied with a wide variety of exciting technologies that includes work being diverse, ranging from the design of electronics hardware (schematic capture, PCB layout, documentation, etc.), board level test ting and fault finding, developing embedded code for new and legacy systems.
Key Skills:
- Graduate with 6-12+ months experience are considered for this role
- Electronics Design Engineer: 2-5+ years industry experience
- Experience in the full product design lifecycle – from concept to introduction into manufacturing
- Electronic Circuit Design – Analogue & Digital
- PCB Design & Schematic Capture
- Experience of Altium Designer, KiCAD, Cadence or similar ECAD Packages
- Understanding & competence of Analogue Design - signal conditioning, switched mode power supplies, op amps, transistors, diodes, ADC, DAC etc.
- Digital - basic logic, FPGA, microcontrollers, etc.
- Network interface protocols – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485
Desirable nice to have skills:
- Good understanding & grounding in Physics
- Embedded C
- C#, WIN UI3, DirectX
- Video / image data processing
- Instrumentation design
- Design of electronics to operate at high temperatures
- Design of switched mode and linear power supplies
- Transformer design and drawing specifications
- Power supplies generating up to 4kV
- FPGA programming
- Creating technical drawings and design documentation
- Writing technical manuals
- Control of small motors
- Signal processing
