Electronic Systems Engineer

I'm currently on the lookout for a Electronic Systems Engineer for a client in Poole who are in the defence industry based near Bournemouth. The preference would be for this role to be on site but hybrid work is an option. The company work on government and forces projects and focus on the counter bomb/ IED delivery side of defence work.

Typical work you might be involved in:

- Contribute to an early concept study investigating the application of emerging technologies in future projects
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements for a new system
- Design and integrate new functionality into an existing product
- Prototype ideas into concepts to demonstrate their value to the team
- Carry out root cause investigations to pin down bugs and anomalies reported by customers and product managers
- Reduce reliance on manual unit testing while developing your knowledge of automation

Desired skill-set;

• Circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, prototype, test, debug.
• Product safety / FMECA / Fault Tree analysis Requirements gathering and tracking
• Verification and Validation planning and execution
• Technical reporting and presentation
• Data capture, analysis and presentation
