Salary: Circa £58,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work on average 3 days per week on-site.
The opportunity:
As the EW WS Team Lead within the Electronic Warfare Group, you will be working to develop a range of MBDA EW products. Reporting to the EW Group and Capability Lead, you will spearhead the Weapon System arm of the EW Group.
Responsibilities include:
  • Management of a group of specialist EW WS Engineers,
  • Responsibility for OTOCOQ delivery of all EW WS activities,
  • Development of MBDA UK's EW WS capabilities,
  • Leading and supporting bidding for EW WS contracts,
  • Ensuring coherence of EW WS activities, identifying & driving alignment efficiencies across programmes.

You'll be working alongside a group of highly talented and passionate EW engineers giving you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders e.g. Project teams, Future Systems, MOD and key industrial partners. A real opportunity is available to shape and deliver the MBDA UK EW capability roadmap and Industrial strategy.
What we're looking for from you:
  • A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes.
  • A good technical understanding of Electronic Attack and Electronic Support systems.
  • Experience of Autonomous Vehicle and/or Weapon System systems design and validation.
  • Experience working across the full engineering development lifecycle.
  • People management experience, including management of small to medium sized teams.
  • A strong record of delivery, including bidding experience.
  • Long-term vision, and demonstrable experience in capability assessments and road-mapping.
  • Track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
