AddressThe job would involve all aspects of designing new products to add to the company’s existing range - predominantly the design of automotive battery management equipment including switch mode DC-DC battery chargers and voltage converters - and occasionally liaising with customers to design products to their requirements, including designing electronic circuits, transferring information to electronic circuit software and providing files for sub-contract pcb production.
The company also do a lot of Loom and Wiring Harness work so the successful candidate would sometimes need to produce drawings or samples from customer schematics or samples.
The role will also involve:
- Maintenance, modification, repair and calibration of computer controlled test equipment
- Organising the testing of the products including writing test programmes and creating test sequences
- The voltage ranges from 5V DC up to 100V DC. The power ranges from 2 Amps up to 100 Amps.
- Building prototypes
- Creating part lists, production drawings and mechanical drawings
- Building test rigs and equipment.
