Responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer
Aid the design of analogue, digital and power-related circuits to meet client requirements Work and prioritise tasks in a manner that reflects budget and deadline constraints Highlight and report risk/issues to senior manager in a timely fashion when detected Collate data and progress status to present in reports for senior team and clientele Present technical status in internal reviews and with customers and suppliers Prepare clear and dynamic reports for colleagues and clients for ease of understanding Apply BOD, BOP, BOT and defined engineering standards procedures and methodologies to execute project activities Operate test and solve for issues using I&CIM techniques in the execution of project activities Help in highlighting optional solutions and options for hardware solutions Develop worst-case analysis for each product project in order to forward plan solves Produce complete schematics, Bill of Material and other end-user technical documentation Interface with customer and core engineering team in order to arrive at the desirable practical end result Pro-actively support the layout of Printed Circuit Boards by working closely with ECAD teams Aid and support validation teams during the Design Validation and Process Validation pipeline Support development and solutions in tandem with testing teams located in the manufacturing plants Lead Electrical DFMEA activities Follow in-house Bill of Design and standards protocols Be proactive in interaction with company sites across different regions Aid development of line testing tools and solutions to company standards Provide approvals and take ownership of design tasks within the working role
Person specifications for Electronics Design Engineer
A University DEGREE IN Electrical Engineering essential requisite for the role Minimum of 2 years experience of working within a similar power switch setting role Must have experience within the automotive and mass production setting Candidate must have a strong skill set regarding communication, both written and verbally The ability to use IT MS and CAD software as second nature is required for this role Must be experienced and familiar with Functional Safety ISO26262 and FMEDA The ability to communicate in German or French would be highly useful Must be able to work of own initiative and prioritise task requirements Understanding of magnetic inductors/transformers is highly desirable Must be a problem solver with the ability to be inventive in approach to role
