We are growing our Electronics team and are seeking an Electronics Engineer experienced in Power Supply Design to help define and develop our next generation of world class audio products. This is a full-time position in our office on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Essential Skills and Experience
Candidates should have commercial experience that demonstrates a flair for innovative design and creative problem solving, and should have a good working knowledge of the following:
- Power Supply Topologies
- Flyback
- Forward
- LLC
- Power-factor correction
- Synchronous rectification
- Control theory
- Loop gain modelling and measurement
- Stability analysis and verification
- Magnetics
- Design and specification of custom magnetics
- EMC
- Knowledge of relevant standards
- Techniques for achieving compliance
- Test and verification methods
- Safety
- Knowledge of relevant standards
- Interfacing with external test houses
- PCB layout
- High voltage and high current layout techniques
- Design for EMC
Desired Skills and Experience
Additionally, knowledge of the following software tools would be advantageous:
- Altium Designer
- Matlab/Mathcad
- Labview
- SIMetrix/SIMPLIS
