Job Description
Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and attentive lead Montessori teacher to lead an Elementary Class spanning ages 7 - 11. This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Montessori School with a Muslim Faith Ethos, to drive forward the learning needs of the pupils. We are seeking a dynamic individual who has a passion for Montessori and Islamic education to come forward and help us shape an education which can serve the needs of all children.
The successful candidate will:
- Successfully engage each individual pupil through the employment of a Montessori pedagogy
- Respond to the needs of the children through a positive approach to discipline
- Committed to the Muslim faith ethos and Montessori approach at Alamiyah
- Be an inspirational class leader capable of delivering the SMSC curriculum to a wide age range
- Willing to engage in CPD training
- Passionate about furthering the aims and objectives of the school
Main Duties:
- Preparing a Montessori environment suitable for the elementary child aged 7 - 11
- Planning for each pupil individually using the Alamiyah teacher planning formats
- Presenting Montessori individual and group lessons during the morning workcycle
- Performing observations and assessments
- Overseeing pupils during the Montessori workcycle
- Maintaining assessment records and tracking pupil progress
- Writing reports and providing feedback to parents and to the headteacher
- Providing care to pupils including outdoor play and lunch supervision
- Maintaining a tidy and organized learning environment
