Embedded Software Engineer

Derby area, 50k + DOE, flexible working hours, 30days holiday + Bank, progression

A challenging role for an experienced Embedded Developer in a growing business who offer progression and the opportunity to manage exciting, fast-moving projects.

Your initial task will be to work on legacy products to update and improve them with full autonomy from brief to completion.

The role would suit someone with confident knowledge of outdated technology and the ability to program and undertake hardware design.

Your role as the Embedded Engineer will include:

• Embedded programming (C)
• Design, development, coding, testing and debugging
• Class based Software Development C++
• TCP/IP and Ethernet networking
• Linux/Ubuntu Environments
• Technical product support
• Technical input for manuals

The Person:

• Excellent knowledge of embedded environments
• Programming experience in C and C++
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of latest technologies and techniques
• Ideally able to undertake Hardware PCB design
• Experience with Altium and FPGA knowledge would be an advantage
• Own transport is essential

Please note this is an office based position which may offer the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week but is not suitable for remote working. You must be in a reasonable commuting distance and happy to work in the office 90 % of the time.
