Embedded Linux Software Engineer

Your new company
This rapidly expanding start-up is looking for an experienced Embedded Developer to join their team in Farnborough. They build and design products that have a variety of applications, ranging from IoT products, Antennas and Terminals, and Modems. You will develop and maintain exciting cutting edge products in a dynamic environment, utilising your strong knowledge of Linux, Embedded C++ and Hardware.

Your new role
You will have a crucial role in the development of networking, control and container services for their satellite communications that are based on Linux. A key part of your role will be guiding parts of the implementation, so we need someone who is up-to-date with new technologies and best practices.
There is plenty to do in this role as some of your responsibilities will be the upscaling of their systems to support their growing customer base around the world, and develop their innovative products as they breach new markets and opportunities.
Due to the nature of this role being hardware focused, you will need to be on site days a week in Farnborough.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently but come together with the rest of the development team to support existing projects and develop new products and services. Someone with great communication skills and is passionate about technology will excel in this role. You will need experience in:

• Linux
• C/C++ embedded SW engineering experience, preferably on ARM or similar processor;
• Low level Device Driver experience and ability to develop, integrate and test;
• Experience with microcontrollers will be beneficial.
