Embedded Software Engineer – Manchester - £30,000 - £50,000 pa
 
A growing Electronics & Electrical Design Engineering company located in Manchester are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their R&D team to design and develop electronic components and systems for the automotive, industrial and consumer electronics markets. This is an ideal excellent opportunity for a RecentGraduate or a Junior Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer to join the team as you will have the support from Senior Engineers who will be able to assist and offer training/guidance.
 
Responsibilities:

• Writing embedded C code.
• Working with a variety of different microcontrollers.
• Partaking in whole design process from concept to manufacturing.
• Working on new and upcoming Bluetooth/WiFi projects.

Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills/Experience:

• Degree in Electronics/ Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Embedded C
• Experience of Microcontrollers - 8,16 and 32-bit, Renesas, Microchip, ST devices
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, Zigbee, WIFI, Bluetooth, LTE, NBIoT, CAN
• Embedded Environment - MPLAB X, Visual Studio, Eclipse, ARM Keil or similar
• Hands-on development of code with prototype hardware
• Ability to use test equipment - logic analysers, oscilloscopes and multimeters
• A good understanding of electronic circuits and reading schematics
• Good team and good communication skills

Desirable and nice to have skills:

• RTOS – FreeRTOS, ThreadX, AzureRTOS
• Experience with revision control software – GIT, SVN, JIRA
• Automotive experience
• EMC
• Python scripting languages
• C#
