Embedded Software Engineer

The Role:
The primary focus will be the design and development of Embedded Software.
Understanding how the electronics devices operate and are controlled will be essential.
The successful candidate will operate alongside the company’s Senior Software Engineer, working together on larger development projects and individually when appropriate.
It will be necessary to be able to take a detailed requirement specification, understand how this can best be implemented and then develop robust code.
It will often be necessary to take this code through test, debug and finally to production readiness.
Maintenance of the software code will also be needed.
Study and understand a requirement for Embedded Software.
Interface with hardware design engineers.
Maintain software and adhere to the company’s QA system.
The Candidate:
Degree qualified in a related field to Embedded Systems development.
Development of embedded program code using C/C++ is essential.
Any development of applications for host computers (Windows / macOs) would be an advantage.
It is extremely beneficial if you have any experience with FPGA’s, development of mobile applications or assembly of electronic systems.
The Package:
Annual salary of up to £50,000 p.a, commensurate with experience and performance.
