£40,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits

Ford & Stanley –Specialists in Digital are recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer for a world-leading provider of asset monitoring solutions for precision measurement in extreme environments.

A world-leading provider of asset monitoring solutions for precision measurements, this business specialises in electronic systems that acquire data from extreme and difficult-to-access environments. Operating across the automotive, rail, defence, and industrial industries they are now looking to add an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to the ranks to keep up with client demands.

Location:

Leeds, Yorkshire

Role and Responsibilities:

• As an Embedded Software Engineer, your main responsibility will be to design and develop firmware for testing and end products, as well as the design and development of software and hardware for internal and external use.
• You will need to be able to write clean code, this company is keen to move away from existing legacy code to remain at the technological forefront.
• Preparation of technical/project documents providing accurate time estimates on projects and product costings for the product manager.
• Version Control and release code.
• Management of incoming data to the server.

Essentials

• Knowledge of programming languages such as C
• Knowledge of Linux
• RTOS Experience
• Experience working in Agile development including process and version control

• JavaScript Development
• Infrastructure Development
• Data Analytics
• SW Testing
