Salary: Scale 6: £29,777 - £31,364per annum, pro-rata for 18.5 hours

Job Type: 18.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

The Role

As a Part-time Emergency Housing Officer you will carry out all aspects of tenancy management, with a specific focus on supporting their homeless clients in our rapidly expanding provision of Emergency Housing dispersed accommodation settings.

You will be based at one of the Emergency Housing hostels, but will primarily support clients living within Blackpool, in the dispersed properties and accommodations located out within the community.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing housing-related support to homeless clients with a range of support needs
• Ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing
• Carrying out needs and risk assessments, safety checks of the building and accommodation
• Collection of charges and all necessary administrative functions
• Liaising with a variety of agencies and assist clients to access appropriate services

Skills &Qualifications

Successful applicants will:

• Have experience of supporting vulnerable clients
• Be confident and self-motivated and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Have an understanding of professional boundaries and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess good organisational and time management skills
• Be able to prioritise your own workload
• Be competent in the use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office
• Have a minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include Maths and English, at grade 4/C or above
• Have an understanding of customer rights and choices and how to support them
• Have a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) qualification (Or the willingness to work towards a CIH qualification is desirable)
• Have a full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
