Our Emerging Tech Centre of Excellence sits within the AI & Emerging Tech capability. Home to award-winning and industry-leading technologists, we are a multi-disciplinary agile team of specialist practitioners and researchers who strive to bring the best of Emerging Tech to PwC at large as well as our clients. Based in the UK, we are also seen as trusted experts for the global PwC network and often lead large scale projects that involve managing international teams.

The Emerging Technologies we are prioritising currently are the Essential 8 . Our team has a particular focus on spatial computing (virtual reality and augmented reality), blockchain/digital assets (both private and public), quantum computing and neuromorphic.

We inspire and support our firm and clients to embrace Emerging Technologies in a valuable, trusted and responsible way.

Some of the functions of the team include:

• Consider how new and Emerging Technologies could disrupt our business and how PwC should act to capture value and reduce risk
• Be the focal point for Subject Matter Expertise in niche areas to give us a critical mass of resources that are available to the entire Firm
• Create thought leadership for both external and internal purposes to ensure PwC is always on the fore-front of new Emerging Technologies
• Identify cutting-edge tech providers, onboard and manage them to deliver impactful solutions for the rest of the business

In your role, you will support our team in delivering a wide range of projects. You will be involved in research for our commercial propositions, create materials around technology-based business solutions, and liaising with the business on disruption risk and the value of various Emerging Technologies. You will need to be able to understand and articulate key aspects of the technology to stakeholders (including running demonstrations and facilitating interactive workshops) so they have a greater understanding of the technology and its potential to solve business problems. As part of this, you will also need to be able to develop subject matter expertise around a form of technology in a manner that focuses on the core business advantages and benefits.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who has a keen interest in Emerging Technologies, who is:

• Able to communicate clearly to others
• Confident introducing senior business leaders to Emerging Technologies
• Keen to keep up to date on new products, ideas and applications
• Able to think on their feet and quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues

Additionally, to perform this role well, you will need to be comfortable with:
