Employability Coach
Location - Ashford - Hybrid - 2 days in office
Salary - £26,398 to £30,3275 Per Annum (pro rata)
Hours - Permanent: Full-Time (part-time will also be considered at minimum 29.6 hours per week/4 days per week)
Our client, a well-known and established charitable organisation in Ashford is looking for an Employability Coach to join the team.

Responsibilities of the Employability Coach
- To identify, design, and deliver mentoring, training sessions/workshops, and support programmes to unemployed young people and adults to enable the development of their personal, social, and employability skills.
- To deliver one-to-one and group support creatively and effectively in a range of community settings with disengaged young people and adults, supporting them to be ready to move into, and sustain employment, education, training, traineeships, or an apprenticeship.
- To liaise with a wide range of employers, training providers, and stakeholders to promote and offer work placements and other engagement opportunities to beneficiaries.
- This role will provide bespoke and tailored mentoring to the company's beneficiaries and will facilitate referrals to projects, undertake assessments of needs and skills, review progress, and undertake ongoing tracking and support.
- Actively recruit people onto the company provision, maintaining positive links with referral organisations and other agencies that offer work and support including colleges, employers, and schools.
Personal Skills and Attributes for the role of Employability Coach
- Full driving licence and use of a vehicle as this role will involve travelling to various locations
- Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Relevant qualifications (to a minimum of Level 3) in training, youth and/or community, IAG, youth work, assessing or equivalent experience is desirable
- An understanding of the factors that affect young people and adults and the experience of supporting them to overcome barriers
- Fully competent with Microsoft products and ability to use them effectively, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & TEAMs
- Well-versed in successfully planning, delivering, and evaluating programmes/provisions for young people or adults
- Experience in delivering programmes with embedded numeracy/literacy
- Experience in successfully working with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and needs
- Some knowledge of local agencies and support organisations that could support the company's services
