We are seeking an Employability Tutor for the Offender Learning Sector, offering a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of learners, their families, and the local community. This role is based on-site, where you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, learner-focused education in line with contractual requirements and standards.
Day to Day of the role:- Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Employability, including Customer Services, and Life Skills Money Management.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that meets the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for learners and the sector.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning within your subject specialism.
- Support learners in developing their skills and achieving their educational goals.
- Monitor and assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards), with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding qualification within a specified timescale.
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C).
- Proven track record of effective teaching in your subject specialism.
- Experience in Peer Mentoring, Customer Service & Upcycling.
- Ability to gain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
