As the Employee Engagement & Wellbeing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive and engaging work environment. Collaborating closely with the Key Account Director, your focus will be on providing business-focused guidance and support.

Your responsibilities include actively working with the Key Account Director and Operations Leads to elevate people performance to the highest standards.

In this role, you will champion Employee Engagement and wellbeing initiatives, aligning them with the company's values and policies. Your efforts will contribute to creating a workplace culture that fosters the well-being and engagement of our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to managers, in line with the organisations policies, procedures and employment law, on casework arising from employment issues including sickness absence, informal grievance cases, early-stage performance management and other key people management from an Employee Engagement perspective
  • Establish clear communication mechanisms for yourself with your manager and the Healthcare People & Culture team and provide straightforward guidance, referring matters for advice when required
  • Support managers in achieving Company goals and objectives and establish effective monitoring activities in support of achieving and driving forward the Central People & Culture strategy and operational business objectives
  • Contribute to the delivery of best people management practice, particularly in consideration of equal opportunity and cultural diversity by creating and maintaining an atmosphere, which does not tolerate discrimination
  • Seek out new approaches and interventions that support good heath and wellbeing to collect and share evidence-based practice and remain at the forefront of best practice
  • Raise the profile of corporate social and charity activities ensuring that they promote a positive and inclusive environment
  • Devise and provide improvements to current management information, analysing, reporting, and suggesting procedures to enhance the decision making processes

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience, preferably with some knowledge of HR
  • Team driven and a collaborative mindset
  • High level of change readiness, persistency and problem-solving approach
  • High work capacity and strong case management, with an ability to work to deadlines
  • Communication skills and empathy
  • Ability to multitask and project manage
  • Competent in the production of reports, statistical analyses, and communications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
  • Experience of working in a service industry and in a contracting out environment an advantage
