About The Role
Team – Internal Communications
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in either the Bournemouth or London Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As the Employee Events Manager you will plan and implement Employee Events and engagement activations that increase employee participation, embed our core purpose and create a strong internal Vitality culture. The activations and events should inspire, educate and encourage wellbeing and generate internal spirit and fun. The role requires event management skills and experience. Three key areas of focus within this role: events, reward & recognition, and comms & engagement projects.
Key Actions
Events
Plan and deliver key moments in our internal events calendar including annual parties for our three UK office locations, ‘Pitch Days’ in Bournemouth and Stockport for employees and their families, centrally-led volunteering events, roadshows, town halls and broadcasts. This involves:
  • End-to-end and on-the-ground management of event
  • Budget management
  • Sourcing/supplier management
  • Event theme and/or design
  • Diary/exco management
  • Venue liaison and relationship management
  • Comms planning and delivery
  • Guest/attendee management
Reward & recognition
Plan and deliver key annual reward and recognition moments including:
  • Bespoke, high end quarterly Star Awards experience
    • Run of show and project management of resources
    • Budget management
    • Supplier and agency management
    • Theme and creative design of programme
  •  Long Service awards, managing end to end process, CEO filming, script, recipient liaison
  • Annual Star Awards trip management incl. visa process, travel coordination and guest management
Comms & engagement projects
Assist cross-portfolio projects and initiatives as needed:
  • CSR engagement projects
  • Internal communications plans for the roll out of the overall strategic communication and employee engagement plan, with the aim of driving awareness and engagement.
  • Production of communications so that they are appropriate for our target audiences, in line with our company culture, values and tone of voice.
  • Manage scheduling requirement with Planning team for all events, ensuring all our internal audiences can engage and connect.
  • Support delivery of special projects and local engagement opportunities
  • Budget management – day to day management and assistant with overall budget
  • Stakeholder, logistics and admin management
  • Manage invoice and supplier process
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
  • Degree level or equivalent plus 2 -5 years experience
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels and across disciplines
  • Proven event management experience and ability to organise events of all sizes
  • Experience with six-figure budget management – able to work to a clear budget and identify where savings can be made without impacting quality
  • Excellent social skills
  • Able to work flexibly in a fast moving environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and varied projects and tasks simultaneously
  • MS Office suite – particularly PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience managing agencies, suppliers and other third parties
  • Able to travel
  • Strong affinity with our core purpose and values; desire to drive positive change
  • Experience engaging audiences via social media
